Susan Denn, Proprietor of Interlude Restaurant
Susan Denn has been the driving force at Interlude since it was a concept on the drawing board. Her concept, as a chef, was to consistently deliver quality fresh local produce, handled simply and with a minimum of fuss.
She also wanted the design and atmosphere of the restaurant to be special, and to help her achieve this she engaged local interior designers, sculptors and artists to form what is truly a unique space.
The design of Interlude Too was treated with equal passion and the results are simply astounding. It is really worth a visit !
A little bit about us
Interlude opened its doors in October 1998. The ethos of the restaurnat is simple: "To serve locally produced food, which is handled simply with minimum of fuss"
We are passionate about supporting local and artisan producers of which there is an abundance in the region.
Take a look at our sample menus here to get an idea of the sort of dishes we prepare here at Interlude.
In October 2012 we expanded further onto the waterfront with a contemporary designed Café/Deli. We call it Interlude Too.
Here, you can enjoy a catch-up over morning coffee, or delicious afternoon tea and cake, a very tasty lunch, a family celebration or that special dinner date, all overlooking Dungarvan harbour.
Our Commitment to Quality
Quality Ingredients are always at the heart of our dishes. We are always looking for new, exciting quality local produce to use in our menu. Where products are not available to us locally, we take great care in sourcing Irish produce, with special focus on quality and provenance.
We are particularly proud the quality of our own home-reared and locally butchered beef, which we sell exclusively in our restaurant.
